Heart & Vascular
Our heart and vascular team includes cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, clinical cardiologists, thoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers. We provide a full spectrum of cardiac care.
Radiographic studies, such as cardiac MRI and cardiac CT scan, are called imaging tests. They allow the healthcare provider to check for problems in the heart. The tests are painless and noninvasive. Your child’s healthcare provider will discuss with you why your child needs one or both of these tests. Most MRI tests take 30 to 60 minutes. Depending on the type of MRI your child is having, the test may take longer. Give yourself extra time to check your child in.
Computed tomography (CT) Scan
CT scans, also known as CAT scans, obtain multiple cross-sectional images of the body by using special X-rays and computer enhancement to create an image many times more sensitive than a simple X-ray.
Providence medical imaging services ensure the highest standard of patient care and excellence in performance, interpretation and delivery of cost-effective imaging services.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a test that lets your doctor see detailed pictures of the inside of your body. MRI combines the use of strong magnets and radio waves to form an MRI image.
Ultrasound is a test that uses reflected sound waves to produce an image of organs and other structures in the body.
