Influenza Precautions

November 15, 2012

Just a reminder, it is still influenza season, and we are seeing a rise in influenza cases here in Lake County.  Here at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, we ask employees and visitors alike to stay home if they are ill with any influenza like symptoms (fever, running nose, cough, etc).  If you do need to see one of our healthcare providers, we will give you a mask to wear while you are seeing your provider.  We would also like to remind everyone to “cover your cough” whenever you cough or sneeze, and to do frequent hand hygiene, especially after you cough or sneeze.
