When a medical condition or developmental issue has a negative effect on a person’s emotions and behavior, they need treatment and intervention from a care team that understands their physical and mental health needs.

Our clinic provides safe, clinically appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Our highly skilled staff are guided by the values of excellence, respect and compassion and work together to provide personalized, effective care when you need it most.

Care may be provided in person or through a virtual platform (patient must reside in the state of Montana).

If you or someone you know is struggling with life events, substance abuse, or are living with a known mental illness, Providence Psychiatry and Counseling can provide the support you need. We provide:

  • Psychiatric Evaluation
  • On-going psychiatric care; medication management
  • Psychotherapy
  • Co-occurring Disorders

Resources are available for patients to access additional services when needed, such as Electroconvulsive Treatment, Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program and Inpatient Hospitalization for crisis stabilization, when necessary.

You won’t be turned away based on your ability to pay. If you receive a new patient packet prior to your first appointment, please fill out the enclosed forms before you arrive. 

Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early to check in. Please call if you are running late. We might need to reschedule your appointment to accommodate other patients.  Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

What to bring:

  • Photo ID and insurance card
  • Co-payment (if required by your insurance plan)
  • Detailed history of symptoms, treatments, and treatment facilities (including medical records, if available)
  • List of questions, concerns
  • Family member or close friend if you have difficulty with memory, history, or subject matter
  • If you are seeing a psychiatric provider, please also bring a full list of current or previous medications and dosages

Providence Psychiatry is a referral-based clinic. We look forward to working with you and your patients. Health providers can make a referral by calling 406-327-3362.

Please complete our referral form and send a letter from the referring physician briefly summarizing concerns and clinical course to-date, as well as supporting progress notes and medication list along with this form. Please contact our office with questions.
