School of Nursing - 1932

The nurses' graduation exercises took place in the Loyola auditorium; this one had a particularly distinct and and dignified stamp; first the theater decorations were exquisite, flowers in abundance literally surrounded the "graduates" on whom all attention was concentrated.

Doctor J.P. Ritchey, one of our doctors, was the "Chairman," Mr. D. Worden, a lawyer of the city gave the speech of the occasion, while Rev. O.O'Brien, of the St. Anthony parish, presented medals and diplomas after having addressed the graduates; his remarks were very well chosen, and he was warmly applauded.
