Health Care for Children

Providence Medical Group Women's Care and Family Wellness provides care for infants, children and adolescents. We understand a visit to the doctor can be scary for children. We’ve created a warm and friendly environment to help children feel safe and at ease.

Well-Baby and Well-Child Exams

An important part of parenting includes understanding your child’s growth and development – physical changes such as height and weight, developmental milestones such as speech, emotional and mood changes. Your child’s well-child check is the perfect time to discuss concerns and ask questions of your primary care physician.

A routine well-child exam includes information for parents and caregivers about normal development, general care, immunizations, diet and nutrition and other essential advice about care of a growing child.

Preventive Child Health Care Schedule

All children should have well-child checkups from birth through childhood and adolescence. Taking your child to the doctor for an illness such as an ear infection should not take the place of a well-child exam. Well-child visits should be scheduled at the following ages:

Visit a primary care doctor at Providence Women's Care and Family Wellness when your child is sick, or whenever you’re concerned about your child’s health or development.
