Diabetes Day: Control is the Goal

Providence Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center announces outreach event November 7

Missoula, MT—The Providence Medical Group Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center is sponsoring a special outreach day for diabetes education on Saturday, November 7 from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Broadway Building at St. Patrick Hospital.

Scheduled during American Diabetes Awareness Month, Diabetes Day is an opportunity to engage and convene with people living with diabetes and their supportive others utilizing the format of a one-day summit at the hospital that features free A1C testing, lectures, vendor information and giveaways, panels, and breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

Jennifer Troupe, Practice Supervisor of the Center, says, “It is always a very special day when providers and educators can meet with patients and the public to help them feel as if they are not alone in their journey to control their disease. Knowledge is power and with power we can defeat diabetes! That is what Diabetes Day is all about.”

During Diabetes Day, participants will be able to participate in:

  • A free hemoglobin A1c test, BMI analysis and blood pressures
  • Inspirational lectures by diabetes experts
  • A Patient Panel – How others navigate their way through life with diabetes
  • Informational tables and giveaways from diabetes companies
  • A day of empowerment to help you take control of your diabetes!
