School of Nursing - 1931

Twelve nurses from St. Patrick's hospital were graduated on June 12, 1931 in commencement exercises held in the Loyola auditorium. Speaking on the history of nursing, which started with the famous British nurse, Florence Nightingale. Walter Pope, Missoula attorney, gave the principal commencement address. Dr. H.C. Smith was chairman of the evening's program, which opened with musical numbers.
