Chronic Pain Evaluation
Appropriate for patients who are looking for a whole body approach to chronic pain management. This service begins with an orientation meeting that will inform patients on the multidisciplinary approach to chronic pain management.
Appropriate for patients needing evaluation and treatment for a spine or musculoskeletal condition and is not considered to have an underlying chronic pain syndrome.
Behavioral Medicine Evaluation
Behavioral evaluations are for patients whose referring provider requests an evaluation limited to the psychological/behavioral aspects of the pain problem.
Intended for patients considering injections or other interventions. A consult is required before scheduling any pain interventions.
Electromyogram (EMG) or Nerve Conduction Velocity Test (NCV)
This evaluation is intended for patients that require diagnostic electromyography or nerve conduction velocity.
Pain School Program
This program is designed for patients with chronic pain. You will receive information and learn skills for effective chronic pain self-management. The Pain School meets for 14 consecutive weeks. New programs start every month and is facilitated by a psychologist, and other health care professionals. Topics covered include:
- Goal setting
- Relaxation response
- Activity pacing
- Fear and avoidance
- Affective and cognitive aspects of pain
