TeamUp2Have you, your family, or friends been touched by cancer?  I have lost too many family members and friends in the last 4 years and two of the most important women in my life.  I’m Deb and hope that sharing my story will bring greater awareness about the devastating impact cancer has on patients and their families.

In March 2010, I lost my mom to lung cancer and in January 2011, my best friend, Brenda, was given the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer and passed away in November 2013.  I had the humbling honor of caring for both through the end of their lives.

This experience was painful and the losses great, but I was also blessed to have met some of the most inspiring and compassionate caregivers at the Montana Cancer Center at St. Patrick Hospital.

My journey has taken me to different cancer centers throughout the West and the Montana Cancer Center is one of the finest.  These professionals are real; they are touched by the patients they are able to heal and devastated by the losses. I have great respect and admiration for the work these people do every day.

The Montana Cancer Center provides patients with a team approach, collaborating with medical and radiation doctors, surgeons, techs, and patient caregivers for the treatment plans.  This provides for a higher quality health care for the patients.  This quality of care is the main reason I brought my dad to Missoula, Montana to treat his skin cancer.
